Personal Handwriting as
a Typeface

Neo Script is a handwritten typeface that combines personal writing habits with the stroke logic of brush calligraphy. Defined by a left-heavy, right-light contrast, each letter begins with weight and gradually releases into a lighter ending.
The typeface is built around a seven-degree slant and a mostly single-stroke construction, allowing the letterforms to move with a continuous handwritten rhythm. These shared principles bring consistency to the uppercase and lowercase letters, numerals, and punctuation while preserving their human irregularity.
The typeface is presented through an accordion-format specimen that translates its shifting stroke weight into a physical reading experience. Progressive page lengths and changing paper weights guide the reader from pressure toward release, allowing the book’s structure to embody Neo Script’s movement, rhythm, and balance.
